What does /o/ think about the Hyundai elantra sport?
>1.6L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine
>independent rear suspension
>heated seats
>22,485 MSRP
>>16929567
Just buy a mazda 6 or camry you idiot
>only comes in autotragic
it's shit
>>16929571
>op wants a compact
>offer two midsize cars (and one of them is an extremely boring Camry)
Why do you people do this?
>>16929579
has 6 speed manual bro
>>16929571
No turbo, or independent suspension
>>16929586
Ok then,
Mazda3 or corolla or civic.
Elantra looks HUGE.
Im sure that little 1.6L is SUPER exciting.
Exciting doesnt get you to work reliably. Nor does a Hyundai
>>16929588
Your standards are retarded.
>>16929588
okay I didn't know it had manual but I went and did my own research
>201 hp
>195 Tq
>OVER 3000 LBS
like the power and torque are fine but holy fuck that's the fat bitch
>>16929567
>buying a new econobox
just get a civic for 3k. 22k could get you a v6 accord with 270hp.
>>16929607
I'm just saying that's standard on this and isn't even an option on those cars
>>16929616
I'm more looking at it how the new hyundai stacks up against current competitors. V6 Accord is $31,800 MSRP
>>16929679
USED

There's no point in buying new.
>>16929567
Those wheels are dank as fuck I cannot lie tbqh
I'd be interested in a coupe or hatch of this.
>>16929613
Mazda 3 is over 3000lb too. So is the Corolla. The only compact that's still comfortably under 3k at this point is the Civic, and even that's getting close if you get the tarbo and CVT.
Times are changing family.
>>16929899
Idiot.
Even the 3 is 2800lbs
>>16929908
Fair enough.
Still, even the lightest 3 is still 2,899lb, closer to 2900lb than 2800lb if you're going to be honest. And if you get the tarbo to spec it with the OP it's 3013lb. 3100lb with the auto. Pretty fucking heavy all things considered.

>>16929948
Cool. So all compacts are around the same weight.
Why is this an argument?
>>16929955
It's not as long as you don't try and make it one. Just pointing the Hyndai in the OP isn't heavy by the standards of the class. Lightest Elantra apparently starts at 2,767lb so that's actually lighter than the lightest Corolla and Mazda 3s.
I'd buy it if I was in the market for a sporty compact
It's the only one in the segment that doesn't look like a fucking retarded edgy spaceship. Civic is hideous ricer trash, Corolla is oddly proportioned, Mazda 3 has a shitty interior (next gen looks better), and both Focus and Golf are unreliable turds. At least the Golf looks nice.
0-60 in 8 seconds. THAT DOES NOT SEEM SPORTY ESPECIALLY IN A FWD PRULPONE.
>>16929571
They cost $10k more and do the exact same thing. They're all boring commuterboxes.
