Two questions:
>How the fuck do I buy a different car without a loan?
I own $4,500 on my 2013 WRX and I can pay it off in full at any moment, but I don't have enough money to buy something to replace it without first selling it. If I do sell it, then I can't get to work.
>Why the fuck can't I find a used pickup with 4wd and a manual transmission with less than 200,000 miles for $10k or less?
Why sell the WRX. My 07 was by far the best car I've owned since. Totally regretted selling it.

You won't find a manual one newer than like '95
What year model trucks are you looking at? Half ton pickups go for under 10k all day as long as they're not retard quad cabs or 3/4 tons.

It's a shitty "sports car" and it won't haul my motorcycles to the race track or go off road to reach shooting spots in the national forest.

1996+ since I live near Denver and need it to pass emissions and I don't want to deal with a pre-ODBII car.

My work truck is a 98 Z71 ext cab. You might look for a few years newer so you don't have to deal with the 5.7 blow intake manifold gaskets but my pickup has 240XXX and everything still works. Dodge pickups don't have motors that hold up very much past 150k. The Ford 4.6 in their pickup did last much longer than the Dodge.
Apart from lifter ticking the 5.7 and 5.3 are semi reliable and very easy to work on.

I'm in CO Springs, I'll sell you my '86 Hardbody for $1k.
Use the rest of the money to make it pass emissions and fix the squeak in the front.

Why don't you pay off the car you currently own and save some money?
I kinda wanna buy this and bolt a pressure treated wood deck to the back of it: https://fortcollins.craigslist.org/ctd/6059560608.html

Because the car is boring and can't do things I need like haul motorcycles and go offroad.
Why would I pay off a $4500 loan balance on a loan that has a 1.5% interest rate?

I'm probably going to list it on CL for like $1500 here this week, owning three cars on a military base is a bit much.
I'll give you the br/o/ discount. It's got some other problems, but those little trucks are second only to Toyotas (and if you live in CO you know how much the markup is on those).
