Buy a cheap rust bucket that's a common platform with plenty of cheap parts (IE, 88-95 Civic, Fox Body, Corollas, etc...) Whatever you want, just make sure it's a well-documented platform with plenty of DIY tutorials and videos online.

Then you could fix it up on the cheap and learn by actually "doing". You could probably even sell it and make most of your money back depending on what the condition is like when you buy/sell it.

>Purchase vehicle
>Purchase another vehicle
>wrench on one
>have the other to drive to work.

I'm not to the level of my coworker and his drift team who do crazy project cars, but I've learned enough by doing that I can find my way around a wrench.

Buy a cheap shitbox, fix it up, soup it up, fuck it up, and start all over again. Make mistakes and learn from them. Same way you get good at anything you fucking millennial piece of shit.

Buy a cheap Japanese pos and a chilton/haynes manual for it. Fix shit. Visit your local u-pull-it scrap yard and start pulling parts you need. YouTube also has video instructions for damn near every job. When buys tools don't skimp on the things that can save your life, jack and Jack stands etc.

A thousand times this.

Do. Not. Buy. Cheap. Tools.
>>
>>16915557
nah, you can buy cheap tools, just not ones where having it fail would endanger your life like he said. I buy cheap tools, if it fails, I buy a more expensive version of that tool. From following this strategy, my toolset is 90%+ cheap, ~10% high quality/expensive
