The battery. Nothing else, not even the spare anymore.

A folding chair and umbrella. I like to just stop and take it out while it's raining and sit and watch traffic from a parking spot.
>>
Nothing but a towel to clear off the morning condensation. I live in the Bayview in SF and have to street park, cars get broken into here every night. Only things I keep in the car at all are a bunch of CD's and a portable battery starting unit.
>>
In the DD:
>toolkit
>spare plugs/fuses
>change of clothes appropriate to season
>rubber rain boots
>duct tape
>zipties
>road flares/reflective triangle

>compressor
>small folding bicycle
>$400 cash
>Manual for car
>tarp
>small folding shovel
>(in winter) 20lb bag of clay cat litter
>(in summer) bathing suit/towel
Full spare is under the car. It's a PT Cruiser with no rear seat, so tons of room an all this stuff doesn't take up much of what's there.

In the fun car:
>reflective triangle
That's it, it has no spare but I have AAA and a cell phone.

Fire extinguisher
Spare set of clothes and shoes
Bottled water

All for various reasons

>broke down in friends car and we had no water for 6 hours on a 110F summer day
>another friend had a car fire and we didnt have an extinguisher

I also don't give a fuck about weight, I daily a land barge and I'm not a speedboi.
>>
In the trunk:
Blanket
Small tarp
Reflective trianlge
1L engine oil
1L hydraulic suspension oil (in order to keep that Citroën comfy af)
A couple of shop rags
Shopping bag
Water bottle
Pair of old muddy Caterpillars
Sunshade for the windshield
Tire iron
Heavy duty strap with ratcheting fastener
2 light duty elastic straps

Additionnaly in winter:
Can of deicer
Ice scraper

Under the car:
Full size spare
Scissor jack
Screw-in tow hook for the car

In the cabin:
Couple 1€ coins
GPS + vent and windshield mount
Map of the region
12v socket to 2x USB charging port connector
Microfiber rag for a quick cleaning
High visibility jacket
Pen and some sticky notes
Chewing gum

Also I leave the tow hitch installed at all times. In my previous car I also kept the carrier bars in the trunk at all times, because it was a wagon with a roof rack and I could install them in no time without tools if needed. Now I have a sedan which requires some tools and roughly an hour to install them so I leave them at home, I keep the screws and the assembly instructions in the car though.

I had that shit save me one night too. It was raining super hard and like every intersection throughout my neighborhood had clogged sewers and 2' of water in it. I was driving the shitty little Cavalier and even if that much water didn't kill the engine, it def would get to the interior. Had the BMX cycle in the back, parked the car at a grocery store nearby and rode through these deep ass flooded intersections.

I mean it was only like 4 blocks, so I could've walked. But it was 3am and I was stoned so riding the bicycle was more fun.

You should keep a glove and ball with the bat. That way, you prevent one of the chief accusations that you carry a bat because you are looking to get into trouble. You look for an excuse to use the bat. You wanted an excuse to use the bat on some minority.

>What do you keep in your trunk?

See this archived thread about what others do for their car and themselves for various situations. Some people only have random stuff because they depend on their cellphone and AAA membership. Some people don't stray outside of their city, so they are always close to a store or other help, so they carry little in their car other than personal items (snacks, drinks).

He's just wondering why you need to carry so much toilet paper for use on the road. Usually, people like that are on the way towards using adult diapers. As they get older, a stretched spincter only becomes less reliable and anal leaks occur more frequently. Thus car seats, home furniture, and places s/he sits down at begin to smell like poop.

That's why it's important to not stretch your anus. You'll pay for it when you get older.

But doesn't vaseline leave an oily mess even though you wipe it off the seals? The opposing side of the seal is the painted edges of the door, so those get oily marks that attract dirt. Does vaseline harm the clear coat?

>Vaseline is life.
It weakens rubber condoms if you use that as lubricant. So if the condom gets a hole, your GF can give new life in 9 months!

I live in the city so I dont really travel far enough away from home to merit carrying more. In my last car I kept every socket on hand I needed to disassemble the entire car (just a few metric deep/shallow sockets) in addition to what I keep in the current one, in case I ever needed to make repairs on the road. Came in handy quite a few times.

See the reason you're a faggot is, you're benchracing. You're punishing yourself to achieve an imaginary peak performance number that absolutely nobody cares about except you. You probably race your car once a year yet you strip it of all comfort and practicality just so you know you have a fast car. Never mind that you can take a Hyundai accent to its limits on the road and enjoy yourself just as much.

You've probably been laid by like 3 girls in your life.

Pillow and a sleeping bag.

Nothing compares to the feeling of parking in a lonely place in the countryside and sleeping in your car during a massive thunderstorm.

From observation of car maintenance and repairs,
Tools are often not much use when there are no spare parts available.

But a set of fuses seems to be something most people in this thread forgot.

Having cleaning supplies and a few small bottles of water is a good idea in case I get something to eat on the road and need to clean my hands. Or if I have a spill and need to clean that up.

Although I have AAA and cellphone, I have a 12 volt compressor air pump AND a separate accurate air gauge. If I get a slow or fast leak, I will be able to pump the tire(s) up fast enough limp 1 to 5 miles at a time to a place that can patch my tire. A 12 volt compressor is faster than using a manual type bicycle air pump since I'd be racing the air leak to get the tire filled.

>all these prepper-tier faggots keeping what amounts to a fallout bunker in their trunk
Many people drive in the countryside far from the next shop. So it stands to reason they have some gear in case they are stranded for awhile. And your admonishing them for having a fallout bunker mentality when they have a gun is wrong. A gun is necessary if you are stranded waiting for help to arrive. Some criminals cruise around looking for strands to loot.

>The battery. Nothing else, not even the spare anymore.
Well, my car comes with 2 batteries and one is in the trunk. The manufacturer includes no spare or jack unless you buy the final highest end premium option and then it is a nasty smaller tire for a hefty price. All these weight reductions to preserve their EPA MPG.
