Well its not so much as they're afraid as much as they're lazy and stupid, my dad had one on his Country Squire (old ford panther wagon) and he had trailers and never saw the point in owning a pickup because he didn't have sheetrock to haul around, and even then he would probably just get a full size van. Also some places with HOAs don't like trailers being visible from the front of the property and we're back to the lazy and stupid factor again
