[!] MaxWrist Update [!]

Well lads, things aren't looking good for our good friend MaxWrist. A few Redditors basically dug into his life and figured out that he was sentenced to prison for child abuse, physical assault on a woman, and sodomy. Sounded kinda crazy to me at first but it looks like it's all fucking true according to what this one dude said and the military court records. Dude lived in North Carolina with some woman and her two kids and he beat the shit out of her and abused the two kids regularly from what I can understand. The scariest part is the woman even has a blog where she documented all of it.

Some people are saying that the press releases in these italian news segments were somehow faked since they make no mention of all these charges and only mention the reckless driving which actually had very little to do with his sentence at all.

Im looking for a good Dual-sport motorcycle.

I've started on my GS500 and need something like this :

> up to 48 hp
> easy to maintain
> not a lot of electronics
> preferably something from 2000 or earlier
> mostly using it in the city but need to be prepared for bad weather, snow, heavy rain, etc.

Does anyone of you have an idea what to get?

Reposting.

Is it something usual for bike groups to use the first bike to block the traffic on the primary road for all the other bikes to not have to yeld at the stop?
Because I saw one doing this yesterday.
>>
>>16910875
Yeah, I suppose. Call me evil but I don't really give a shit. I enjoy his content for what it is. I don't need to know anything else
>>
>>16910879
Yes. Otherwise the group would be separated and would create an even larger block of traffic.
Its safer and faster to just move through all at once

Yamaha XT600, Honda XR/XL600 and XR650L for starters.
>mid 40's HP

>lights, horn, and turn signals are the only electronics
You might want electric start for the city, I'd look into the XR650L or even DR650. As much as I like 80's dual sports, it's nice having something still in production for longevity and ease of access to parts.

Check with your instructor, you probably have minimum gear requirements. But from a practical standpoint:
Helmet, gloves, ankle-protecting footwear, heavy jacket (wear-resistant), heavy pants (thick jeans work in a pinch).

The armored stuff is only really useful once you get on the road/highway or can be hit by other things, for the lessons its probably not necessary.

My lessons were just in parking lots so it was mostly "wear what I need to not to get road rash or burned on the bike if I fall". On the road I usually wear armored stuff including the pants if it's not stupidly hot out.

>oh OK well first you need to be 24 or you need to have held your licence for over 2 years
>yep both, will i have to re take the theory ?
>only if you haven't been riding for over 2 years
thats a relief thought this was going to be expensive if i had to pay for a theory test too
> thats good news guess i wont have to take that then, how much would it cost me to do the mod 1 &2 on one of your bikes ?
> well we have an offer on at the moment -
yes sounds good pretty soon ill be driving around on my new bike and have some money left over for some new boots
>so to do you're mod1 and 2 it will cost just £615
>just £615
>£615.
£615 punds fucking sterling
are you having a giggle m8?
I looked on the gov. website and the mod 1 test cost £15 and the mod 2 test cos £80
But you can't take the test on a bike that isn't a 600cc (actually it comes down to horse power but cba to find it again) or bigger, which you cant ride before you get this licence to get practice on, which means you have to do it through a bike school and use their bikes.
which would be fine but they make you take so many lessons and charge you for the use of the bike on the test day.
>um yer but at least you don't have to take the theory again
> yer i guess i can use the £15 that cost to post an ad on ebay advertising my kidny so i can afford to essentually rent a heavily used bike for the day and ride it around a carpark for 20 minuets then go for an hours jolly and back to get a pice of plastic that says im trusted enough to be allowed to drive what i want.

Takes $50-$100(depending on state/county) for the MSF course, from there, goes to getting your full license after you pass a written and ridden test at the MSF. Or a 25 dollar permit for however long you have to have it (depending on your state/county) and taking a test yourself.

Yep. If somebody has gotten rid of their L-=plates, you know they're at least a decent level of competency. The MSF course is a joke, like below the requirements of even the laughable CBT, and MSF isn't even a requirement for the yanks.

The WOO WOO FREEDOM is even more hilarious when you look at their hilariously draconian but generally ineffective emissions and general auto (LOL lighting requirements) laws compared to EUROx.

lads: just reading 44t review of the 2017 r6. It has the same engine as the previous generation yet makes 7hp less (due to euro4 regs). Am i correct in thinking that if you bought the 2017 model, took out the cat and put a full system on it (+ a powercommander / dynojet thingy or whatever EFI bikes use to change fuel maps), that all it would require was a new fuelling set up to accomodate for the new exhaust & to get rid of the euro4 tuning stuff. Doing all this would mean you could get those extra 7hp back??

Probably not very coherent - basically I'm asking could you tune the bike to have the same HP figures as the previous gen seeing as the engine is identical?

yer figured that out just after i sent that dribble about O rings, pretty sure it WAS a 530 chain and it still snapped on me, right after it came out of the service too so it would have been done with the fancy lazer persision they have in there, i had to push the mother fucker back up the wrong way of the dule carrageway bridge (after i ran down to the toll booths and got them to shut the bridge) , changed the chain in the staff car park with a cheap one off the internet and shitty tools,
she runs fine
>>
So i stumbled upon a H-D street 750 ad and their cited figures got me curious so i hit up Google
Turns out it has pretty much the same dyno sheet as an NC
Also the Monster 696/796 have very shit power

yer thought that too but it might just be a combernation of things just gona make sure this one gets lube every day and adgust it every 50 miles just to be safe. once iv got this bike test out the way ill be looking at getting a bigger bike that can handle 70mph without being a 11000 rpm
>>
>>16912097
The 2003 & up SV650 is a solid performer, under 12 second quarter miles in competent hands. The Shiver is the same they both have something H-D and Duc aren't or weren't big on, liquid cooling.

Don't be surprised when air cooled bikes have lower numbers than water-cooled counterparts. It is just a thermodynamic reality.

They're pretty solid bikes. Not the lightest or the most advanced chassis in the world, but the engine's got tons of torque, brakes are really strong, and suspension's decent enough once you get it set up for your weight.

I daily mine and it's excellent for that. The transmission can false neutral occasionally if you slack on the oil change intervals, but it hasn't been a huge issue (yet). The engine does vibe a lot more than a 600 and most 1000s, but it's not a huge problem. It's the worst at around 6-8k, anything before or after that and it's decently smooth.

I don't have a damper and I haven't had many problems with headshake, but during a trackday (pictured) I did have a bit of a butt-clenching moment when I overcooked the back straight at Thunderhill East and got into a bit of a tank slapper. Might have helped then, but I'm not sure. Powering out of corners generally didn't cause any serious oscillation, at least in my experience.

I use rainX anti-fog. Works like a charm, but you have to let your helmet air out before you put it on or you're gonna be huffing some stuff that makes you dizzy, but it works for a good 2 weeks unless you breath hard on it and wash it off.

probably get something more like a 15 to 20 hp gain and a good a 20% increase to torque.

Honda's legendary oval cylinder meme engine was specifically an attempt to make an V8 engine that technically had 4 cylinders to satisfy the rules.

The RC211V was a 5 cylinder since the 990cc rules relaxed the limit from 4 to 6, I don't even know what the current liter MotoGP limit is.

I wouldn't let that be a major deterrent though: my 84 Magna V30 served me beautifully for the few years I had it, despite being 30 years old and having 20k miles. As long as you change the oil and filter regularly you shouldn't expect any issues.

i am not a rape apologist. i am just smart enough to approach every bit of news you read with a healthy dose of skepticism. between the media's liberal bias and how men are persecuted more harshly in the judicial system, it isn't farfetched to think that there is much more to the story than it seems. i have dealt with my fair share of batshit crazy women and I can see how easily these things spiral out of control

with that said, he probably IS a total shit bag since that style of riding requires it. but like I said, not my place to judge or give a fuck. i enjoyed the content and I am going to keep enjoying it. Would you stop using the best surgeon in town if you found out he was hella racist?

Fair enough. I keep wanting to modify the bike, odds are I'll just do a tail tidy and some frame sliders and maybe the screen, or something
>>

I just wanna know becuase if it's in the gulf region, I'm out. I'm a new englander, I feel like the Appalachians up here are much better for views than down in Satans grundle anyways

It'll be you guys' choice. We will make a poll with a few options for different places around the east coast probably.
Any suggestions, besides dragon? (it'll already be an option)
>>

>power commander

>corbin seat
I haven't even looked at mods for these things yet.

That's objectively worse than the Baird go sit on your dildo picture.

>>16914339
I wouldn't mind the South, so long as there's good roads. The problem only starts of one of the riders is black.

I really don't want anything to do with Alabama or Florida though
>>
>>16914345
I have no idea where dragon is desu, but I'm not gonna be some kind of deciding factor since I don't know shit about where to ride around here. I just know if it's in south east I'm out

Fender eliminator and integrated signals is like 160 all in, and pretty easy to do.

Exhaust is expensive for the bike, like 800 for a decent setup and I'm not spending that much.

I probably won't touch the engine or exhaust.

If i had to guess itll be either tail of the dragon or somewhere in WV or PA or something.
Not really sure where good riding areas are on the east coast desu

Too slow, its beautiful scenery but roads are like 25-35 mph speed limits the whole way and they are patrolled

My lazy cunt ass would be cool with PA, since I don't have a windshield and me riding for more than 200 miles results in me turning to a 65 year old jewish woman who has to wait in line at the DMV.

California has the best motorcycle scene in the country. bar none.

Californians not bothering to sign up for your autism map because there are literally hundreds of meets and rides a year in Socal and meeting people to ride with is trivial.

People in flyover states desperate to find someone, anyone else to ride with resort to the lowest of the low and seek out autistic kids with shitbikes to ride with off a Burmese sandal making forum..

I like 350s, and biased to Honda. HOWEVER, prices on those bikes are inflating because of the cafe meme. CB and CL lines are the most readily available that I've seen (MI) . I've heard that 650s are the sweet spot for old Jap bikes, but I wouldn't know.
