What are some cars that are similar to the 86? Especially in handling. Rear-wheel drive preferred.

240s handle like dog ass and are slower than miatas.

RX-8 has similar handling. RX-7 has better handling.

Damn that sucks
Take a look at the 2016+ Camaro V6 1LE package. Car is faster and handles similiarily due to weight, also has a rev limit around 7,000RPM and handles amazing. Downsides are obviously it's not the V8 and the gears are a bit too tall, it's also not as tail happy as the FRS/BRZ and it's a slightly bigger car.
Outside of that I cant think of anything unless you're willing to spend over 60k or want a convertible (miata)

There isn't anything new, from the factory, without spending double what the twins cost.

It feels like an old BMW Z4 model from 2003
A minivan would handle as good if not better than the FR-S

I don't understand why it makes /o/ so salty.

Stop memeing, it isn't the 1960's. The new Camaro has extremely good handling. The V6 1LE is just shy of a BMW M2 on track for under 35k, and only because it lacks straight line power.
