The 3 series will be made in Mexico beginning in 2019 with a second model to be built there soon after.

It's very likely the majority of rear wheel drive non SUV BMW vehicles sold in North America will be Mexican made by the mid 2020s

How does this make you feel /o/?
>>
No one here can even afford a modern BMW so it makes no difference.
>>
>>16902445
implying the current ones built in the us and germany are any better...
>>
>>16902445
Just like with 3-series SA you can ask your dealer to get an allocation for a German built one. People who can't actually afford BMWs will make this type of shitty bait thread.
>>
>>16902959
3 series built in Germany have worse build quality and documented failures than 3 series built in South Africa and Brazil.

This is because in Germany the people who work in factories are typically lower class people who simply don't care and took factory jobs because it was all that was offered. In developing countries however, working in a factory for a prestigious brand like BMW is considered a big deal and the people who work their in these countries are typically college educated and dedicated.

This is the same reason why Fords built in Mexico have higher reliability rankings than those made in the US.

t. Mexicunt

I'll admit Honda is the exception to this rule, but I think that is because it's simply not possible for anyone to replicate Japanese work ethics. Japs are the best at what they do.
>>
>>16902994
While that might be true, the difference from what I've seen is negligible. The lead time from SA is also much longer than from Germany.

3 Series kinda get a bad reputation because they are known as entry level BMWs but they really aren't bad cars. If you have driven enough Japanese econoboxes, you can tell immediately when hopping in a 320i or 328i that it's a caliber above the generic Jap cars. The only real complaint is that they have 4 cylinder variants of these which can arguably feel slow or emaciated but that is why you get the 6 cylinder option and bam, you have a pretty damn good well rounded car. That is up until you reach 100,000 miles and the CPO warranty expires and the car goes from $20k to $6k in value

With that said, I feel like BMW is really cucking themselves with this whole 3 series thing. They made a deliberate move these last few years to buy back or accept trade ins on these 3 series from 2011+ and re-sell them as CPOs for $25k~ with insane financing offers (0.99%) so they are really managing to suck in all the children that want a beamer but don't want to drop $50k+. Kinda hurts the value of the brand, IMO. The 3 series honestly look the same as the 5 and the 7 series for the most part so it all looks like shit to me at the end of the day and I just would rather have an AMG because at least Mercedes hasnt sold out yet.

I can maybe contribooty a little.

I have visited the BMW production plant in Dingolfingen, Germany. Series 5,6 and 7 are produced there. With series 8 coming up.

I can tell you that the lowest montly pay is somewhere above 3000€.

They also have their own bus connections, with the longest being about 130 kilometers, so yeah, you don't need to worry about transport.

They have fucking BEER VENDING MACHINES in the facility, not to mention their cantine (which is awesome).

For anything heavier than 8kg they use special lifters.

And no, haven't noticed any special amount of people "of color" (the city of München is riddled with turks and kurds though, who get in all sorts of fights).

So yeah, I really really don't know how they can be unsatisfied with all this luxury being handed to them.

We probatly have some of the highest standarts of vocational training in the world.

The car makers pay very good money and the jobs in the factories of them are very sought-after.

Also has more power as standard and better equipment as base.

Remember the bmw fangirls whining about the Giulia costing more (bot the Quadrifoglio and the standard model)?

The Giulia in this test is a TI model, a very complete trim.

TI=veloce?

>Then there’s the Alfa. Praised for its interesting and stylish interior design, it took knocks for its wonky ergonomics. We liked its decently large rear seat and comfortable front seats, but we took issue with the fit and finish and some cheaper materials.
Who writes this shit? Since when is Poltrona Frau leather "cheaper"?

>Conversely, the Lexus suffers high insurance, fuel, and maintenance costs, giving it the highest five-year cost at $52,254.
Again, who writes this shit? How can a Lexus be more expensive to maintain than a Merc or a Bimmer? Lexus is supposed to be reliable as fuck and the Germans are infamous for being high maintenance.

Tell it to Consumer Reports, whose Giulia just can't stop shitting the bed.

Yes, the TI version is for the USA and have some very minor changes from the Veloce.

So, basically 99% yes.

Since when the style can be judged objectively?

I'd prefer 10 times an IS with its own very sharp style and personality over a boring german *yawn* sedan...

It's another episode of "America = The world".

The world is a very big place and yet the only people having this kind of problems with the Giulia (and FCA cars) are in Usa under the name (((Keksumer Reports))).

Why the hate against FCA? Will never know.

If the Giulia was really that unreliable you can bet your balls that we would have had a German magazine article (by German I mean written by all German owned and paid magazines) shitting on the Giulia...and guess what, as this is not the case they just shitpost about interior quality and fake lap times.

As expected, they're scared but this time there are no valid reasons to shitpost against this car.

At the time of the 159, the first model years before the restyling, the car had shitty petrol engines and was overweight, that's a fact, but it drove like heaven as usual, and so the magazines talked shit about this model and bashed it.

In the years the 159 has evolved becoming a brilliant car, not as luxurious/well made as the Germans (talking about interior finish and only this) but lost hundred kilograms of weight and had better engines (the fantastic 1750 tbi)...but the damage was done, people assumed the shitpost were real and so the car was ignored unfairly.

This time it won't happen with the Giulia.

That's not what "polarizing" means though, polarizing means some people love it and others hate it.
>I'd prefer 10 times an IS with its own very sharp style and personality over a boring german *yawn* sedan...
I'd rather get the Giulia that is absolutely beautiful and exciting, but if I have to choose another from the list, I'm going with the C class. Again, stylish and beautiful.
The Lexus is too edgy for my taste, like something a 12 year old would pick.

So you admit you'd rather have a Bavarian godmachine than your greasy Alfa?
>>
>>16913682
>So you admit you'd rather have a Bavarian godmachine
You say that as if I was some kind of fanatic shill. The 850CSi is a 5.5 V12 F-segment grand tourer coupe, the 156 is a 3.0 V6 (with a beautiful sound nonetheless) D-segment executive sedan. They aren't even comparable, Alfa Romeo doesn't even make F segment GTs. Give me an equivalent Italian car and I'll likely pick it over the BMW (Ferrari 456, for example).
