Most of these supposed African car manufacterers are simply scammers. They buy Chinese cars, get government grants because the local government is a bunch of retards that will give you money without investigating if you actually build anything or not and then proceed to sell those cars.

There's only one legit company and that is in nigeria due to enough of the population having money from the oil industry to buy them. But the cars still cannot compete with chinese cars. However, they are made locally and employ local people and thus it supports the country as opposed to sending cash out of the country and decreasing its financial reserves.
