Only issues I've had were somehow two parking sensors failed in quick succession and a few blown fuses. I bought it from a stealership with full service history and I have it serviced at a dealer, which isn't that expensive. They change the oil for about what I could buy the parts and fluid for, and I don't have to wrestle with all the weird panels on the underside myself.
I do kinda worry about the air suspension system crapping out but you can retrofit it with springs for about the cost of one air shock, and having an XJR with sportier handling wouldn't be that bad. I live like 20 minutes from Laguna Seca and maybe that would make me brave enough to drive it around for a lap. Did have a few days where my A/C stopped working and the car was blasting heat if I even had the fresh air vents on but it turns out that system has like six fuses and one of them went. I seem to blow a fuse every few months, should probably just replace them all but where's the fun in that.
The driveline is fairly robust- the AJ8 was 10 years old by the time my car was made and the transmission is just a regular ZF 6 speed. I guess a supercharger failure would be expensive but I don't think that's common unless you never change the belt.

How do you like your Solstice? I saw a listing and read into them and I'm thinking of investing in one. From what I've read, they have good reviews, and since they've been discontinued for almost 10 years, unless theyre the gxp (?) model, they're around 10k. Are they good as a daily driver?

I really do like it as a daily. I have a base model so the power isn't anything to sniff at but I could see a GXP being quick. It is very reliable and actually comfortable for long drives (for a convertible: heating/cooling is perfect).
