The best wheel design is the one easiest to clean. I wanna be able to clean the back side of the wheel with a wash mit through the front.

I had some BBS style wheels on my car for a while, they looked nice when clean but FUCK keeping them clean they added an extra ten minutes to my detailing time. Never again. And never buy white wheels for the same reason.
