Are there any blue collar european muscle cars? No AMGs or Jags.

>blue collar european muscle cars
I'll take "What is a Ford Capri?" for 500, Alex
Not really
Big cars with big engines werent/arent a thing here due to the historical economic difference
Big engines in big cars gave birth to drag racing and nascar, small cars with small engines gave birth to rally
>>16880611
How about a Taunus or Cortina?
>>16880631
The capri the other anon posted had a 5L V8. Not a HEMI by any means, but still decent.
There were "luxury" versions of regular cars that had an inline 6 instead of an inline 4, like the Volvo 260 and Opel Commodore.
I think that V8 Capri was something a mad tuner built, not a factory option.
>>16880682
Aye - but only the Mk1
There is a reason why they discontinued the V8 for the MK2 and onwards

These where never realy a thing here, but we also had relatively small cars with powerfull engines: hot hatches like the Golf GTI, V-6 Clio or peugeot 205 GTI and many more.
>>16880847
Other way around, cunt. Opel made Commodores way before Holden did.

But it isn't a rebadged holden

Sure, and they're just as bad handling as American muscle.

It even has a V8 originally designed by Buick.

What about the XR8 the Africans got?

Europe doesn't DO muscle cars, for the most part. The economics and roads are different.
Here, when a young man buys a fast car, it's a hot hatch. It accelerates fast, but it's light, handles well, and is relatively green and efficient.
In america, when a young man buys a fast car, it's a big ugly RWD lump of american iron with a huge V8 in it, that drinks fuel like crazy and can't go around corners.
>>16880983
But there's a certain beauty to the uglyness, don't you think?
>>16881079
The proportions on that look fucking weird.
I like it.

'68 Ford Taunus

Sad. Can attest for the american side.
Also the fast and the furious franchise gave birth to a /b banana poster level generation of faggot children with stock civics and wings and fart pipes.
Had to show these kids wtf american muscle was more than once.
Kid talks shit. Points and laughs at stoplight. Etc...
Flip switch on header dump. Thrash a nice breeze of hot air at his little little convertable and grin as i pull the move out of his favorite shows with 2 fingers let him know how little his faggot ricebox is.

>blue collar
We were kinda on about big cars/big engines for the common
I don't think anyone would say that Europe hasn't produced big cars when we have brands like BMW, Mercedes, Rolls-Royce and so on

Oh, and on the subject of those; I've been thinking about heading up into the forest near my house and see if I can locate a shed me and a friend looked into like 10 years ago. I remember there being a large Opel there, but cant remember if it was a Kapitan, an Admiral or something else
Europe never did affordable muscle
South Africa did with European cars though, v8 powered capris
>>16882573
Here's a Euro Ford you definitely did get, as the Mercury Capri.
>>16882581
ZA got the best muscle cars
>>16882594
The Mercury Capri was such a strange car.
Mk1 was a rebadged Euro Capri Mk1, never sold well.
Mk2 couldn't be a Euro Capri because of emissions, so Ford slapped Mercury badges, wider fenders and a flat grille on a Foxbody, again, didn't sell well.
Mk3 was an MX-5 competitor, built by Ford Aus for the Australian market, and was based on the Mazda 323.
>>16882660
Ford in general has a bit of a weird history with their two pretty much separate divisions and sharing cars between them.
