But the thing is, I don't think that attitude would translate to today's car culture at all. There's nothing kinda old and dirt cheap you can buy, chop, and hotrod relatively easily today that everybody likes.

And don't forget, there were still wonderful cars made back then. Chevy '55s, Outrageous Cadillacs, Fabulous Fords, fuck even Chrysler was nice. Today?

It's not going to happen. That kind of styling and outrageously easy-to-work-on automobiles will never happen again with our EPA and safety regulations.
