I drove a '97 Nissan Maxima as my first car for about 6 years. I ended up giving it to family at 250k miles, it refused to die.

Buy any pre-Renault alliance Nissan. Maximas are just higher end Altimas.

Yes. It's a heavy fwd jap econobox. It's decent in snow and decent on fuel. Any Japanese econobox is going to be reliable. The 2.5 has decent kick to it. The car is significantly faster than a mazda3
