Anyway blueprinting is the process where you take a production engine and parts and painstakingly measure everything and make corrections as necessary to make the parts match the "blueprint" design instead of +/- 25% or whatever the hell the production tolerances were.

Tolerances are part of the blueprint (technical drawings), so "blueprinting" is kind of a misnomer.
