Forgot to add, it killed the injectors the next day. I replaced them which took me hours because it was needlessly complex. Then it wouldn't start, did spark plugs, now it started and it had eaten the head gasket and blew out the rear main seal, drank up all the coolant in the rad and burnt all the oil and it seized up. Oh and the current xDrive gearbox that tends to crap out the 1st gear and there are no current replacement parts available so you have to buy an entirely new gearbox.

happened to me 5 years ago in a Golf MKII, goin back home after work. The clutch cable broke off and I learned how to shift a manual transmission without clutch. I rev matched every time also on downshifts, which was difficult and sometimes i just heard the synchros rattle so i had to start over... At the red lights I had to start the car in 1st gear to get it moving. I got home late but it made me feel like a master driver afterwards. I felt like I had accomplished something in my life. Even nowdays with my Diesel Opel i shift without touching the clutch sometimes.

Happened to me right around 100,000 miles in my RX8. They had defective clutch pedal brackets that would break causing the thing to go to the floor. Luckily it happened when I went to start the car.
