FiST looks aren't amazing but they perform so great. you can get a FiST for 19k otd if you can haggle on a ST1 (base) trim. Used even cheaper and finance (>financing). Maybe you could try to find a Mazdaspeed3 but I imagine most will be private sale or at a dealer overpriced

Second, I have the ST and I love it. I'm guessing you're American so your list of hot hatches isn't too good. I would have recommended the Swift Sport, it's 0-60 isn't impressive but it would probably destroy the Fiat on any good road.
