How long did it take you to learn to drive?
I have like less than 2 months to learn. I just need to pass the road test.

When i was in highschool i would have a 30-60minute lesson once my dad got home from work, after 3weeks i got my licence, he took me to a hill on the first day and made me practice til i didn't stall 20 odd times in a row after that i was good, he also showed me how to release the clutch with no gas without stalling, those 2 things helped immensely

Yeah pretty much this. There's nothing to it, assuming you have any semblance of a brain.

I still don't know how to drive
>about 2 hours of reading the fucking manuals
>about 30 minute theory test
>about 5 hours of practical lessons
>about 1 hour practical test
8.5 hours technically
Couple of years before I became truly competent and able to predict hazards and how others are going to move without taxing my senses too much.
Took me 5 accidents, 3 close calls, and 1 speeding tickets.
How is it so easy to pass in America? In England the average time is around 20 hours of lessons
always learning, dude

Yeah, same here pretty much. The basic theories only take 8-12 hours of combined time to learn, the real time investment is practical experience you can only learn by driving on the road.
dad put me behind the wheel more than two years before i was allowed to take my license
i miss him...
Took me less than 24 hours for basic tier, but the things I've known now (and still currently learning) have taken several years. This on top of the fact that you can't always learn certain techniques via daily driving.

A matter of hours to be roadworthy. A matter of months to be competent. A matter of years to be experienced. A lifetime to be legendary.
