Is this thing (pointed at) an AUX port? My car doesn't have an aux port at the front of the head unit, but I don't want to buy a new one if it already has one in the back.
that's for the antenna

GOTCHA

ok now hold on fellas
So my head unit has not AUX port. I bought one of those cigarette charger transmitter things but it sounds staticcy and shitty.
But I don't want to buy a whole new head unit. I mean, first off I don't want a typical rectangular one that you find at walmart. But the ones that have touchscreen and stuff usually look too complicated and messy. Is there maybe a way I can install an AUX port and drill a hole? Yes I know I'm being retarded

What is that?

https://www.amazon.com/Interface-Adapter-Connect-2004-2013-2005-2010/dp/B00RMZ4ZPC
plugs into the back of the stock stereo

You can't even tell the difference between an antenna Jack, and an Aux jack.
And you're asking us if its possible for you in particular to do moderately complicated electronic soldering and rewiring?
You are retarded.
Just buy another head unit that fits, a crossover adapter kit and get someone else to install it.

That sounds good. So like I could drill a hole and run the cord out under the stereo?
Also, could I find something like this in town, like at walmart or something? or only online
>>16822650
It's an amplifier, extremely simple. Literally just an aux port and a volume knob. $15
>>16822665
you could probably find a way to access the cord without drilling, not sure, circuit city or some other car stereo installation places might have it
>>16822652
how good is the quality on these sorts of things? i have an old 300zx with the aesthetic as fuck digital dash and upgraded radio and dont want to ditch it just for an aux cable but if its going to sound like cig lighter garbage anyway i wont even bother
>>16822860
it sounds like meh since it's still just your stock stereo, but there's no static, etc., just like any other stock stereo with an aux input

Exactly what I'm looking for

>circuit city
They've been dead since 09.

derp, I was thinking of best buy and typing circuit city
