That's happened to me more than once. But because pulling cars over on the freeway causes traffic jams as people slow down to look, the highway patrol and police rarely give speeding tickets. They will ticket sometimes as a show of force, but usually there are no tickets.

As a result, some drivers have self-appointed themselves as Guardians of the Road. They drive and never exceed the speed limit (which is legal) and drive in the leftmost lanes (which is legal) and drive in the toll lanes (which is legal since they paid for the monthly electronic pass). Just like Mom and Apple Pie, they provide a known quantity of joy and happiness for the law-abiding citizens of the road. Villains of the road hate them though but are unable to do anything about it since racing to get in front of them and brake checking is a criminal offense (assault with vehicle) in the toll lane. As long as the dash cam footage is not edited or tampered with, it is admissible in court as proof of the offense.

Cylinder pressure relies on a lot of things other than airflow like volumetric efficiency, fuel trim, ignition timing, etc. Cylinder pressure is actually directly proportional to torque, not throttle position, so your graph does show that peak torque is the most efficient RPM (which is true, I won't contest that), but it says nothing about throttle position during acceleration.

It may not be directly proportional, but to get about 90% of your maximum possible cylinder pressure, you need a verry open throttle.

Also fuel and ignition timing don´t change the cylinder pressure.

Cylinder pressure is directly proportional to torque. In fact, there's even a formula to calculate it:

What this means is that anything that affects torque (and by association anything that affects power other than RPM) affects cylinder pressure. Fuel and spark affect how much power you make, and therefore affect BMEP. Airflow also affects BMEP, and throttle position affects flow, but you've got two layers of abstraction there with several confounding variables. Nothing that you've posted indicates that maximum efficiency is at WOT. There's the obvious argument of pumping losses, but there's lots of other things at work here like fuel maps or needle profiles that enrich the mixture at high load, ECUs that go into open loop mode over a certain throttle positions, etc.

The listed pressure is without ignition, with ignition it would be much higher than only 18 bar.

You get your maximum cylinder pressure at maximum torque with wide open throttle, to archive 90% of maximum cylinder pressure you need 90% of your maximum intake pressure.
To get 90% of your maximum intake pressure, you need to open your throttly valve pretty wide.
