How come cars made in countries where the main language isn't English still use English letters?
Like, for example, on automatic cars it still says "P, R, N, D". Why isn't it in the language spoken in the car's country of origin?

Usually those languages are either translated and adapted or the language shares the same starting letter in their word.
I don't know about Japanese native cars, do they have Kanji on their gear sticks or selectors?
I know that pretty much every European and American car shares the same P R N D 2 1 thing
Off topic how faggy would it be to get a shift knob with Roman numerals instead of Arabic numerals?

Not really. The numbers rubbed off my stick years ago but I'll always know that my 1sr gear is in the top left and 6th in the bottom right

Honestly would be kinda cool.

fuck you people are dense

Not always. My previous Renault had on the fuel gauge the letters R for empty and I for full. Don't know what they stand for though.

It's the type of autism you have to let other people notice instead of showing off
