Hey /o/ I was recently in a car accident. The car was still able to drive to the side of the curb after the hit. Do you think its totaled or is there a chance it can be repaired?

Hard to tell from your photo. If the damage is just the outer part of the body you could be okay. If the frame is damaged it's likely totaled.
Of course, it depends on mileage and condition too. And insurance companies can be an ass when it comes to condition--I had value marked off my car when it got hit because I hadn't vacuumed the interior in a while.

Anything can be repaired, just depends on how much your willing to spend
You could have frame damage, which can leave your car fucked up. Frame damage can cause persistent tire wear, pulling to left or right even after wheel alignment.
My advice would be to get it check for frame damage. If it does appear to be affected by the crash, sell it.

While poster #2 is right about anything being repairable, once insurance says your vehicle is totaled it's almost always uninsurable after that, no matter how much you spend on repairs.

I hate to tell you OP, but I think its time to start looking for a new car.

You'll be fine m8

If that's OC, that's an awesome pic. Saved.
How high was the impact? If you bent that engine carriage it won't be worth it.

I would say medium almost medium-high. Impact was at roughly 40 MPH.

send it right into the compactor!

New synthwave album art?
Just on the body you're looking at new hood, new front bumper, new fenders, new wheel and tire, and new grill, new driver door, new body panel for A pillar, and probably new plastic for wiper area.
Then we move into engine, looking at frame damage for sure, doesn't look major but it can haunt you in future collisions if not repaired properly, and that's a big risk for insurance to take. Looking at new wheel well liners, looking at new suspension set up for front left corner, etc.
I would advise taking it to your dealership for an estimate, and seeing how much they say it will cost to bring the car back to the condition before accident. They will also only use OEM parts, and ensure it is done right.
I would probably heed the advice of some other posters and look into a new car though, or at least get an idea for the market near you.

This would have been totalled if they'd done the estimate properly in the first place.

>in merica this car might be considered totalled

I did, obviously, but the shop missed a ton of damage until long after the insurance company committed to repairing it.

Never mind, it's totaled.
