Bubba'd out and looks ridiculous, but has everything I'm looking for and within budget. Somewhat worried about 150k miles.
Worth it?

AVOID
Also truck is overpriced
>>16769884
that's the 3v engine that has tons of issues related to the valvetrain and can be a nightmare. I would highly recommend looking into that before you buy it.
I currently own a 2014 F150 but would absolutely never touch an 04-08, I'd rather have an 01-03 with the old 2v 5.4 or even a Chevy with a 5.3.
>>16769884
I drive a 2006 F150 everyday, and it is the biggest piece of shit I have ever had the displeasure of driving.
Buy a Super Duty with a diesel or V10, or buy a GM. Really anything other than an F150.

I wish the 5.4 wasn't awful
>>16771027
>good engines exist
>want awful engine because it's awful
>wish that it wasn't awful
Just buy one that's not awful you fucking retard.

>Never buy a gas truck that isn't a small block chebby.
there I just saved you from ever having major engine issues.

Shiggy diggy
Why do you even need a truck?

Not him but it's not that simple
>be GM 6.5 diesel
>be complete garbage
>be me
>know GM 6.5 diesels are complete garbage
>still love them anyway and have no clue why
>is all wheel drive
>gas truck
kys
>>16772238
The 6.5 isn't awful, it's just an old engine that doesn't make much power and then the engineers completely fucked it up in the light truck application.
>turbo too small
>insufficient cooling
>water pump and t stat housing provide terribly unbalanced coolant flow
>no intercooler
>retarded PMD placement on electronically injected models
>undersized lift pump strains injection pump
Fix all the bullshit surrounding the engine and all of a sudden the engine can do what it's supposed to do, and do it reliably.
Even in stock form they're more reliable than a lot of gassers.
>still love them anyway and have no clue why
Probably because they're cheap, underrated. and easy to work on.
