Status just means paying more for the same thing just because of a shiny badge. I'm willing to compromise on MPG for a better performing vehicle. HP/torque is in top 3 and higher than safety because how can you be safe if it'll take you 10 seconds to get up to speed

I speed everywhere and it has nothing to do with being late.

Even if I'm just out for a drive I'm speeding. 55 is just to low for a lot of roads.

I drove through a village of ~400 people and they have a stretch that's 25mph. There's absolutely no reason for it other than an easy cash cow.

Needs to be reliable. Needs utility. Size wise I'm more thinking amount and variety of cargo. Needs to get good mileage.

The rest.. I mean looks are subjective. I don't give a shit what other people think and auto safety standards have gotten so good that unless there's some unusual safety quirk I'll just trust the crash test ratings.

Fortunately here in Italy shady velox aren't allowed. Still I do believe that roads aren't tracks,
you wanna go fast you go there. Unfair speed limits are a thing, but doing 100 mph just because the road is straight,
that's idiotic.

Speed limits were set at 55 due to the 1970s oil crisis.

It was a pathetic attempt at lowering fuel consumption.

They've remained at 55 as a majority of states have found the 55mph speed limit to be a great source of income.
