I need some assistance /o/. I've managed to put myself into the appropriate financial situation to dispose of my current shitbox but don't know what to settle on to replace it with. I like the idea of getting an MX-5 because it sounds fun, but it seems horribly impractical. I like the Golf but I don't like that it's FWD. Are there any recommendations that you can make that fall somewhere between those two?

I was in the same situation as you last year. I moved to Kurwaland and was looking at golfs and Mazda 3 at the time. In the end I bought an nb miata and never regretted it. If you have no family yet and have friends who might help you move big stuff go for it.

Just get a C4 Corvette. Rear hatch is surprisingly practical.

It's not about being a two-seater. Corvette just has way more space.

It has surprisingly enough space. I found the boot spacious enough for a couple of travelling bags or a guitar with a small amp. Also the space on the shelf behind the seats is pretty useful with a top up or a hardtop.

It's mostly the two seater bit but also the general lack of storage space.
