>>
>>16736867
Yeah I think the bulb is loose. Usually turns on when I tap the gauge. Just been too lazy to fix it. Might go to the junkyard on Nawlins tomorrow for the horn wiring.

In other news, the Corolla's front driver wheel bearing is going out again I think. Not surprised, it's a junkyard hub. The old bearing in the original hub was welded in from all the heat. I'll just take the hub to Pep Boys and have them do it for fifty bucks. Did that with both front ones in my hatch.

94 fifth gen hatch with a D16A engine and a D16Z6 head. I finally looked up the head code today so I found that out recently. It looks like a real beater but it's pretty much brand new where it matters. Overhauled all the suspension and the engine runs perfect aside from an idle problem. Tackling that soon.

Took this nice pic downtown on a delivery last night and I think I forgot to post it.

Hello /o/

I'm looking into buying a second generation Honda CR-X. I've heard they can be fun and I honestly just like the comfy look of them.

I just wanted to know your guys' opinion on the car and if anyone who has had one can tell me about their experiences with the car. What are some of the cons of owning one and how expensive can it be to own one?

Adjusted my distributor timing today, which didn't help my idle but may have pointed me in the right direction.
I had to disconnect a couple of vacuum hoses and adjust it with tdc on the pulley, and when you plug them back in it should start lining up with the other marks (12 degrees) , but mine is overshooting them quite a bit.
So I'm guessing it's some sort of vacuum issue. Google would have me check an iac valve, but this engine doesn't have one. Instead all I can find is an "ignition control solenoid valve", which I can't really test since I don't have a tool to measure vacuum pressure.
If anyone else has any ideas it'd be cool to hear them :^)

Lol radiator hose blown. I would've told my bro to take it to work but it can't run long distances rn it'll over heat. His work is at least 30 min away. I got lucky that the hose blew when he was less than 10 min away. It sucks that it blew on the day he lowered it so I didn't get a chance to drive it now that it's low. He had to break the sway bar link when installing the new springs and shocks so I gotta buy a link too. Everything costs less than $50 so it's financially easy.

I'm gonna be fixing it in the garage he'll just tell me what to do.

I'm pretty jelly of that sub frame brace, LCAs and sway bar.

My soup had the TEMS suspension or basically it has 3 electronic dampening settings: Soft, medium, and stiff. Stiff handled really well and pretty much took off the body roll even though it was still high. My bro said now it handles better than the stiff mode even with the front sway bar not connected. Can't fucking wait to get it running again.

The hose is under breath the turbo so it'll take at least a day. If we go through the top. Hopefully we can go through the bottom but it looked impossible unless we took out a lot of stuff which wood make it more or the same work but working down there. Fuck that

So I just bought a 2012 Honda Civic, and so far im enjoying it but i still have a prick in the back of my head that said I should have gotten an Si. I got the car for 9,500 with 72k miles and it is in perfect shape.
Am I a faggot for driving such a boring car? I really like it, mainly since its an upgrade from my '96 Kingcab Nissan truck and i get amazing mph, which is great because I drive a lot.

Back from my junkyard run. Got a few good things.

>fender liner got loose and shredded on the way there so I got a replacement
>an assload of fender liner fasteners
>The proper relays and the bracket for my AC
>condenser brackets with the bushings
>a clock
>door trim for my old car that friend wanted

Gave up on the whole horn thing. Both cars were fully loaded models and 100% intact. Started pulling the wires and realized it was attached to that ridiculous harness with the ABS, power steering, and all that useless shit. They included a wiring diagram for the Hella horns so I'll just go by that.

Here's one of the two cars. Had a tan interior. Artsy.

Actually he's on his second EK. Has the EM1 with the blown tranny and tired as fuck B16. Most likely gonna sell that off, though.

I guess it's because EGs are king in this area. They still outnumber EKs. Also helps that he has a massive pile of EG parts that wouldn't fit in an EK. Rarely ever has to look around for parts.

I assume she's scared to put it back in first on accident which is impossible. Real fear is going from fourth to third instead of fifth. I did that once. Kek

Anyway I think I reach like 50 to 55 in second gear. Not bad.

>>
>>16747337
I need to get a pair of Pioneer speakers to go with my head unit some time. These old Sony ones that came with the car are cracking at high bass levels. It's fire for eurobeat but pretty shitty for synthwave.

Not that I know of. It would have to do with its software. That's actually nice desu I've blown 2 sets of speakers already. You can get over it by replacing the head unit but I don't think anyone has made a head unit you can change your with
>>
>>16747513
sounds nice but it's designed for the shitty paper cones that come stock, those things tear really easily compared to a proper driver made from polyester or whatever, as a result it gimps your sound even though the speakers can handle it perfectly well

>>
>>16749704
I'm gonna get one with the next car I buy, most likely be a CR-Z, because of the odd streets and sketchy drivers here.

The intersections have three lanes in all; Left for oncoming, center for a dedicated left turn lane, and right for straight or right hand turns. Some people ignore it and it gets close, usually a car with out of state plates.

Nope, because that CRX is a complete car and the Si actually uses different shit.

>>
>>16749856
Pretty sweet. You have additional insurance for aftermarket stuff?

I remember an anon here with a yellow third gen Prelude Si. Some Asian bitch in an SUV hit the front driver corner of his bumper. Insurance actually totalled it but he bought the car back cheap as fuck and pocketed the rest of the money. It drove completely fine, just had to reattach the battery and the driver headlight was pretty droopy.

I do believe it's the 1988 one in the collage.

If they can't fix it they will literally buy another car and use the parts. It's dope and actually pretty cheap insurance. AND zero deductible.

Oh shit now I'm 4th highest. Progress.

I think in my case is that people here are lawsuit happy.

>The state has an unusually high jury trial threshold. Cases that are less than $50,000 go before judges, not juries, and elected judges "can be more sympathetic to the motorist than the insurance company," Gusner said. "If they hand out bigger awards, then the insurance companies are going to bump up everybody's rates."

Lawyers like Morris Bart are raking in mad dosh doing accident lawsuits for everyone here. His fucking face is plastered on so many billboards.

I'm gonna keep the k24a2 and do a turbo build with it. Not sure what car I'm gonna put it in though. Would really like to swap it into an mk2 Supra or an FB RX-7. Other plan would be to swap the turbo into the civic, then swap the k20/k24 build into a gutted eg hatch. One build at a time though...

Yeah, I still have to move to the chicago area, but unfortunately I probably won't know when until a week out from my actual move. Basically, there are like 5 or 6 people being promoted right now, and there's this complicated web of contracts between our company and our customers that need to be signed before anything happens. Then once that happens, everyone moves. Kinda sucks, but it's a good opportunity. I'll live in a hotel for a month or so, then I would like to buy a house down there. can't live without a garage and I HATE renting. We'll see what happens though
