holy shit no. New trucks are ugly as sin and grossly oversized.
The last good looking and properly sized pickup trucks were the GMT800 Silverado and Sierra. Everything after just got uglier and bigger for no real reason.
>>
ITT Anons put in there rosetinted glasses and get nostalgic for boxy trucks.

Last I checked, the GMT800's are less bosy than new trucks.

Certainly better looking than anything else in the last 25 years, but 70s and 80s trucks are still superior in design.

I recently saw a "caribou" F150 in person, and I thought it was beautiful. You have to see it in person.

We have six of these at work and like all ford trucks made after 79 they're ugly and shit.
>get 2017 F150 in
>on the way back from the dealer notice it pulls to the left
>say something to boss when I get back
>"oh yeah all our new ones did that"
>putting tool boxes in
>co worker under truck with flashlight
>can see light through tons of little cracks and pinholes in bed floor
>bosses truck(2016) shakes hard at stoplights sometimes
>dealer can't find the problem

I actually like trucks ranging from old to new. Though I wish automakers would give their single cabs trucks more love. I would much rather prefer a single cab with a nice comfy "luxury-like" simple interior (like pic related) over a four door monstrosity.
I prefer single cabs over crew cabs as it defeats the purpose of a pickup due to the limited space in the bed because the cab take up most of the bed's room. (and plus nobody rides with me because im a lonely faggot)

My only option is the discontinued Ford Tremor. I would make one from scratch, but I'd rather not bother because I'm a lazy fuck as well.

Trucks peaked with the first gen Cummins and have gotten progressively worse each decade.
>>
>>16734815
I'm with ya, but the market has spoken and it's 4 doors all the way. Even those that buy work trucks are buying 4 doors instead of single cabs now.
>>
Extended Cab, SuperCab, King Cab, Double Cab = meh, get an suv

There is something really cool about being in a regular / short cab because even a little roadster isn't quite as much of a tiny self-contained cockpit.

With an extended cab you get the luxury of angling the seats back for a rest but that's what bench seats were for.
>>
>>16734381
That truck is steel ya dingus.

Realistically I'll never drop 50(60?)k on a truck and it's less capable at actual truck shit than its cheaper siblings due to the desert racer meme.

Most people here are the same or poorer desu.

why isn't this being done?

in a small "regular" cab you could do twice as much for the same cost

do I have to go custom?

I work for an electrical company and one of the electrician's in the company has a fairly new dodge ram 1500. He actually uses it as a work vehicle with a cover on the back with built in parts trays and he uses it to tow trailers with scissor lifts, on of our larger lifts or snowmobiles when he goes up north

4x4 also come in handy because the are around where we store our lift can get muddy and our work vans get stuck

However driving around all day on service calls it's pretty clear that 90% of brand new Xtra large murica sized trucks go unused other than their daily commute
