redpill me on cars that are reliable as toyota
not anything from general motors or fca that's for damn sure
>>16730851
Goddam internet trolls.
That's unbelievably, categorically WRONG!
You left out Ford.
>>16730842
>redpill me
Kill you are self
>>16730842
audi, chrysler, nissan are all top tier
>>16730842
For every one million mile Toyota you'll find 5 domestic trucks with a million miles. Anything will last if you take care of it.
>>16731042
Just keep telling yourself that and maybe one day it will be true
>>16731042
Lol not true in the slightest, show me a million Mile saturn
>>16731036
bruh it's tough shitting out shill posts and double reverse shill posts all day. the redpill meme has been a godsend for us.
>>16731619
>you'll find 5 domestic trucks
>saturn
Wow dude, you are retarded. I'm sorry, just stick to your Toyota world. Everyone is better off that way.
>>16731042
>domestic trucks
>TRUCKS
>a vehicle that was built to constantly pull and haul things
>when you aren't doing truck things with your truck, it can last as long as a car
>but if you do use it to do truck things it won't even break 6 digits
really made me think

Any car that had a pretty good engine in it and a manual transmission can last nearly forever if you maintain it well. Change the oil every 3k miles, change the coolant every 5 years, etc..etc..
Mercedes-Benz with required maintenance will get you to a million miles.
Will it live with no oil and constant high rpm shift and no maintenance that a toyota and an honda can survive? No.

Mazda/honda/some subarus
/thread
>>16731764
old mercedes-benz
the new ones will break down after 200-300k
simple-built cars can last a million miles, everything with loads of electronics and high rpm, especially turbos, will break down after some time.
>>16732661
>new ones will break down after 200-300k
just as designed
>>16732661
I own a W126 with 400.000KM on it. Still run like new.
V8 4.2L
>>16733143
post pics, that's a beaty
also thats 200-220 hp depending on year.
200 hp from 4.2L, this engine was never tired in its own life.
You will probably ride to 1M with it, without need for major repairs
>>16733189
Yeah, this V8 runs so smooth.
Also a fun facts is that an oil changes takes 9.5L.
>>16733328
>Also a fun facts is that an oil changes takes 9.5
German """""""""""""""Engineering"""""""""""""""
>>16733336
I think its designed like that to do higher mileage on traditional oil as synthetic didnt existed back in the days.
In the manual it says 10K for an oil change while we all know its usually 5K on mineral.
>>16733328
It's oil cooled
My father had old Yamaha bike that took 5,5L of oil for 1300cc
Those engines are indestructible
Is that gold or titanium colour ? Lightning is kinda bad, still a qt through
>>16733356
Gold.
You think it is? There is the whole WaterPump/Prestone system.
Maybe it acts as an auxilliary.
Whole block and head is aluminum.
Truly a piece of engineering back in the days.
Also, front and backs seats are electric (front 4 settings). 2 memory positions including the steering column. Left electric mirror, heating front seats. AC. Remember this is in 1984. You dont even have memory positons seats in shitboxes nowaday.
Shit guys... I thought about selling it this summer now I am not sure anymore.
>>16733375
>Gold.
niiiiicceeeee
>Maybe it acts as an auxilliary.
probably, there is almost no other reason for it to take that much oil
in fact, I just checked
>The Mercedes-Benz M119 engine
>The connecting rods are forged and enable cooling of the pistons with sprayed oil
>>16733378
Real nice
>>16733384
Honestly it's a shame, unless it's rotting underneath and requires some massive metalwork
You would get pennies for what it's worth, it's basically a collectors piece right now
Honda's a good runner up, I'd say. Suzuki and Mazda aren't bad either.
>>16734360
Mazda's have shit reliability. Everybody thinks "Japanese reliability" and Honda or Toyota pops up. There's more old Suzuki's on the road here than old Mazda's and Nissan's combined.

Mazdas have excellent reliability. Name a truly bad mazda car or truck.
Toyota
Honda
Hyundai (budget mobiles but i ran an early 2000s accent to the ground. 250k miles)
Nissans are okay
Don't buy any of these makes if you are looking for budget/mpg.
>lexus
>any American unless its chev geo series. Won't find one past 01 with less than 100k for less than 1-3k
>vw
>bmw
>>16734573
DO NOT BUY VOLVO. And to clarify geo's stopped being produced late 90's. The geo metro is an excellent machine. Its budge and gets 40mpg. Keep in mind you are trading luxury for a gas saver.
