Is that a Ridgeline? Unless you are a contractor or pulling everyday it is the most practical crew cab truck to be honest. Looks stupid, seems stupid, but 80% of the time it's the smartest choice.

There are cases where you need a true crew cab and a bed. My wife wants an SUV to be up high. I live in a rural area and need a bed or trailer. Towing a trailer for every little thing is getting a bit tiresome.

There's no such thing as a ff transverse engine AWD setup with a rear bias. It may be able to send up to 50% of the power to the rear but it will never be RWD biased.

It may work in cars and small SUV's but there's a reason why every truck has been RWD for the last 150 years.

American light duty trucks are not work trucks (for the most part, many are used as such). They are high capacity personal utility vehicles.

They are ideal for toting around dirtbikes, helping your mother move, going camping, towing your boat/recreational trailer to wherever, etc.

>>16729274
So Honda made a retarded """truck""" for all the retards that buy trucks without actually needing them?

Nissan got infected by Renault, and has churned out boring shit ever since.
Basically the whole place is run by detached bean-counter committee, and it shows.

Pre-2000 Nissan was breddy good. The old hardbody/pathfinders are basically indestructible, the 240sx is a classic, and the Maxima was top-tier in the 90s.
Then Ghosn came along and was like "let's stop innovating, and churn out boring mediocre appliances that check the boxes". "Low-risk" for the investors, sure, but if unchecked will lead to the death of the company.
>>
>>16729334
That's actually the logical distinction between a work vehicle and a private vehicle. If it's used for work it's a work vehicle and therefore not solely a private vehicle. If it's solely a private vehicle it's not used for work, commuting notwithstanding. Trucks have their use as work vehicles, but as private vehicles they are absolute fucking retardation in most cases.

You like watching your wife get fucked? That's fine because you like it!

And while it doesn't ride like shit compared to other trucks, I doubt it rides better than cars in that price range. >picking literally one of the points I brought up and harping on it.

You're a moron.

but I'll humor you.

Load up your dirbike in the back of a ridgeline and it will be stopped by the first rut it encounters. Load up your dirtbike into the back of a real midsize truck and it will tackle pretty much anything on the way to your riding area.

Same thing with camping. You buy the Rdigeline if you want to camp just off the highway like a fag.
You buy a Frontier if you want to camp 12 miles into some gnarly double track in the middle of a forest.

That's the difference. Frontiers have actual truck capabilities. carrying a load over almost any terrain. Ridgelines do not have this capability. You can't take them any further offroad than you can take your moms shitty pilot crossover.

>Why don't I ride the dirtbike there in the first place if the place can only be reached by serious offroad equipment?

you can only ride dirtbikes in certain areas. Also some of the best riding is far of into the wilderness. Bringing your bikes and fuel supply on a truck means more riding time and less headaches if something breaks.

>serious offroad equipment
>frontier
lel no. It's a normal real truck that can go offroad as a basic capability of being a real truck. Something the ridgeline completely lacks.

>Why am I not camping with my offroad bike?
You can camp with or without dirtbikes.
camping without you need a way to get yourself out into the area you want to camp. You cannot do this with a ridgeline unless you literally want to camp off the rise of a road.

>Why the hell am I taking so much crap camping that I can't fit it onto a bike?
Friends, beer, women, firewood, guns, beer, and camping equipment, etc. all fit into a truck much better than onto a dirtbike.

>Do I want to camp or do I want to sit around in a mobile hotel room like a spoiled faggot?
You want to camp if you're an actual fully grown adult man.

TFL Truck pitted the canyon, tacoma, frontier and ridgeline on some light offroading.

The ridgeline tranny over heated and dropped out first lol. Completely useless. Canyon dropped out next because lol chin spoiler gives a shitty approach angle.

Tacoma and frontier made it to the top. The all voted that the frontier was the best truck because of the value and because its an honest truck that gets the job done.

All terrain locomotion is a prerequisite when designing a real truck.Even if some of the lower trims dont come with all the doodads, the chassis itself ad its drivetrain needs to have been designed for it.

Honda has made the soft cock equivalent of a truck.

They've done the same thing that was done with SUV's and CUV's. They made a less capable vehicle to sell to people that want a 'truck-like appearance', without he truck capabilities. Just like CUV buyers want an SUV-like experience without the SUV capabilities.
The Ridgeline is a posermobile just like all the CUV trash on the market now.
