I'm looking to buy a new hatch under 21k can anyone /o/ buddies help me out?
Mainly looking at Focus ST vs GTI
Looking at Mazda3 hatch as well as Civic Sport hatch (but the faggots at honda think I'm gonna pay 22k for their shitty car). Maybe Fiesta ST if the Focus ST is not worth the 3k difference in my area.

Are you single or a family man?
>>16727276
Single but live near family

>tfw almost bought a gti autobahn twice but couldnt get past the reliability concerns.
I even got approved for 0% financing somehow, with barely any credit history
>>16727358
yo but it's not like the Focus ST is better...
normie i knew got 9k off sticker (which was 3k lower than MSRP) cuz the car wasn't selling. He said it was a piece of shit :/

>but couldnt get past the reliability concerns
other hatches aren't any more reliable, stop falling for memes.
>>16727410
That's why I want to get the new Si when it's released, but not sure if I want to fall for the GDI, forced induction meme
>>16727256
You can probably get a 16 or 17 Fiesta ST for a steal in just a little bit, since the 2018 was recently announced with the revised engine and platform.
>>16727544
Yeah but the new FiST will have a 3 cylinder. That might increase the resale of the old model with the superior i4
>>16727622
What's inferior about the 3 banger?
>>16727629
It's a 3 banger
>>16727622
most people don't care at all about how many cylinders a car has.
>>16727651
Most people don't drive hot hatches
>>16727629
Less power potential

What's the best option for a reliable daily driver that's fun to drive, gets at least decent gas mileage, and handles well?
Price range under 30k.
>inb4 gti
I can't afford to be fixing shit/taking it in, or miss work because something goes wrong.
>tfw can't afford a v60 polestar
The new Si would be perfect, but not sure about longevity of these new small displacement direct injection, turbo engines
>>16727853
Is that the new Subaru WRX?
>>16727622
It sacrificed 0.1 liter of displacement overall, but each cylinder increases by 0.1 liters of displacement. I don't think you'll be sacrificing much to be honest.
why not go for a Mazdaspeed 3? or Speed 6? Or go with the Fiesta ST
I owned a MS3 it was pretty bomb dot com but I bought it with engine issues and no engine knowledge so I sold it soon after I now own a Fiesta ST and I love it, it's quirky and fun, certainly not the fastest thing but it's low end torque makes it amusing overall I love it, you might too

Anyone have recs for a fun reliable dd under 30k?
>>16728825
toybaru
>>16728840
I have a mountain bike and golf clubs and photography gear that has to be able to fit.
>>16728933
Ford F150
>>16728938
I'd just get a taco if I went the truck route
>>16728954
that's nice
>>16728933
get a honda fit
>>16729010
If they made an Si or type r version that was fast and looked better I probably would.
>>16728825
Try the STs, the SI, the WRX, and if you can stomach used, maybe a C5 corvette.
>>16727256
What do you drive now?
>>16727853
>I can't afford to be fixing shit/taking it in, or miss work because something goes wrong.
GTI's aren't unreliable you retard
>>16729558
if you have to replace the water pump after 50k miles, it's not reliable
>>16728825
Focus ST
>>16729741
>ford
>reliable
>>16729900
Works for me
>>16727544
I just got a loaded fiesta st2 from a dealer for 6k off msrp two weeks ago.
>tfw no CRZ in manual, with a NA 200+ hp engine
that would be a slick ride
