Yes, but the SLS looked better.
The best GT3 can be determined by 3 factors
- How big the manufacturer is
- How long it plans to support the car
- How new it is
The best GT3 is either the AMG, the Audi or the yet to be released Aston Martin.

Aston martin has never blotted out the Sun the way Mercedes and Audi have over two generations of FIA GT3 cars.

don't forget the BMW M6 GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3

BMW will switch from the M6 real soon, waste of money
Porsche is a good one too, gets very favourable BOPs in most series.

Aston Martin will have the benefit of being very established in the GT3 scene (lots of political pull) + lopsided new car BOP + very long support considering for how long they've been supporting the Vantage

Weren't they struggling compared to the other manufacturers at Daytona and Bathurst with this years BoP?
Ferrari was the best in both too.

They will switch from the M6? sauce on that? Because they switched from the Z4 GT3 to the M6 only recently.

No The McLaren 650S GT3 has it beat in number of high-profile championship titles -- mostly because McLaren employs a bunch of factory drivers in works teams running in different series. The McLaren GT program has won 9 titles in 2016 alone which include championships in Blancpain and PWC.
