Unless you do a full exhaust, the difference will probably be negligible.

Keep in mind a lot of exhausts will drone to some degree at highway speeds, and those K&N filters require regular cleaning and re-oiling.

They both make cool sounds though.

Depends on your definition of "small" gains.

Good catback + precat deletes + jpipe/headers + intake (including manifold and CAI) yields around 60whp in gains. I'd say that's pretty good. Pretty much the equivalent of a low boost supercharger.
