Im getting new shocks and struts. Is it a good idea to change my control arm bushings too? I was planning on buyign the parts on Rockauto and then just having my mechanic onstall,them because,i dont have space or time

You might as well. That whole area is going to be open anyway due to the strut job, and after 500k those bushings are likely shot.
