Having a lot of metal hanging on the keychain plus its cantilevered angle with the key inserted means the tumblers get more stress on them as the weight vibrates or shakes as the car moves. TWO is that if some mugger comes after me for the car, he will demand the keys. If I have no other keys with the car key, then the mugger won't have those keys. People who put their house keys on the same keychain will be forced to re-key their house and garage. That's because the house address is on the car's registration. If the registration or insurance form is not in the car, the criminal can look up the owner and house address via the VIN or license plate.

I once rear-ended some guy's car. We got out, exchanged pleasantries etc. I picked up a piece of his tail light collecting my thoughts at the scene. Later that evening I manually drilled a hole in it using a simple screw, trying to calm down and call my buddy for law advice.

I now have that piece of the tail light on my keychain as a reminder to take it easy. My motorcycle didn't take any damage, but took out the guy's whole red panel. It's no streetfighter, but it's a fighter alright.

They've sold keychains and trinkets you can hang on keychains. A lot of things come and go unpredictably at that place. They sold gallon cans of WD-40 for $3.99 but I had no use for it and didn't buy any. But that was surely a good price.

But if a pallet drops and some of the items get crushed, it may end up at grocery outlet. If a truck wreck occurs, the mess is sold to grocery outlet. The food is good, but the crackers may be broken a bit or the boxes are all dented.

If refrigeration is temporarily lost, everyone looks the other way and dumps it to grocery outlet. I've bought some refrigerated food and been greeted by mold. I admit I like the prices, but sometimes, other supermarkets' regular everyday price are lower-priced than grocery outlet. After awhile, you learn what to buy and how to buy selectively.

I shop at grocery outlet from the treasure hunt approach. If it's a good deal I buy it. After filling out what I need, I then go to other places like costco or a local supermarket to get the rest of the items that grocery outlet didn't have. Technically, grocery outlet has everything, but there are still some brands sold elsewhere that I am loyal to.

I've gotten some useful things for the car at GO at great prices. I've seen prices like Lucas Fuel System Treatment at $2.99 for box of two. I bought all I could find at both stores in my suburb city. Lucas Fuel Treatment has higher PEA than Techron (but their fuel injector cleaner has no PEA). Another time, GO had Turtle Wax ICE for $2.99 each and that even included the Sealant kit box. I bought all of those too. I gave a few of those away to people looking for a "better" easy way to wax their car. I regret not buying more of those giant 12-roll Bounty packages at $7.99 each. These rolls are each 77 square feet (924 sq feet total).

In my area, only 2 of the GO have exceptionally low prices but that is because they are both owned by the same husband-wife pair. This couple likes to occasionally give a treasure-hunters' bargain price to certain items since the loss of profit is very small in return to keeping customers eager to re-visit frequently in hopes of finding a super bargain. All the other GO franchises seem to not use that approach and just price everything at the price recommended by the corporate parent.
