Try to see if its getting fuel

Try to see if its getting spark

Getting air

Everything in the car is meant to deliver these 3 things for a working engine.

Really bad fuel filter has given me this issue

Bump. In a bit of an emergency

If the car sputters and all the lights go wacky your alternators dead and you could drive home revving your engine to 6k otherwise get towed cause you'll kill the battery harder and might mess up electronics.

Does it run if you rev up to high rev's?

Does the engine shake or sputter?

Does it have trouble starting?

Alright so when I turn the ignition the car doesnt start till I rev it. After that it starts but I have to keep my foot on the accelerator. Also shakes when under 2k rpm. Electronics and everything else seem to be fine.

I'd run it until you either get home or it dies, some sem-critical part is failing, you're going to need to replace it anyway, so you shouldn't worry about driving it into the ground.

All the important bits will be fine.

Actually, this sounds like it's running rich, do modern cars even fuck up the choke?

Just keep RPMs high and get it home, you do NOT want to pay for a tow truck.

If it's an autotragic you're semi-fucked, put the thing in low if it has it and drive home.
