Well, certain Japanese cars have daft names.
The old Daihatsu Compagno Berlina is Italian to sound more cosmopolitan but it means family saloon. The Toyopet, an already dumb name, was originally gonna be called the Toyolet. Mitsubishi wanted to call their stylish coupe the Stallion but due to copyright problems, they called it the Starion. Marverous!

Now, Nissan have a poor history when it comes to car names. The Gloria, the Silvia and my personal favourite; the Cedric.
