Hello motorcycle enthusiasts. I need you help.
I want to buy a sportsbike, though have no knowledge of them. I've only ever ridden a XT660.
I had my eyes on a Ninja 650 or a Yamaha XJ6 F.
They say the Ninja has low rev and is better for street while Yamaha is high rev and better on the highway.
I have no idea what that means.
What's the difference between a low rev and a high rev bike?

neither of those are sport bikes

650 is not a sport bike.

You realize fairing =/= sportbike, right ?
The ninja has a 2 cylinder engine, with higher low rev torque, low max RPM, and more engine brake, while the XJ6 has a 4 cylinder engine, peaky, but easier to manage since it's more flexible.
Both are good beginner bikes though, but if you don't know anything about bikes, first try to find somebody irl to help you.

Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, or Kawasaki, unless you want to get friendly with your local mechanics.

Sport standard.
True standards are practically dead.
Sv650.
No fairing.
Trust me.

newfag

Maybe in the US, here in Europe people still like them a lot.

Full fairing > bikini fairing > no fairing

No one in the history of the world has been more wrong than you. Fairings are only good for 1200cc+ touring bikes

I disagree, having a windscreen makes highway riding nicer.

>HE RIDES STRETCHES OF HIGHWAY SO LONG THAT IT STARTS TO BECOME TIRING

You're a fucking retard.
