What is the general consensus on dipping a car? Do people think it looks cheap or ghetto
Only from less than ten feet away.
The only one i've seen was a matte black golf
Owner murdered out everything but the badges
I think it can look pretty cool if done properly, especially in their more outlandish colors
a wrapped base model in some flashy color with no bodykit or a high ride height looks pretty shit
It means you're too poor to afford a full vinyl wrap
paint for niggers
Painting your car in anything other than factory offered colours (inter-model years is acceptable) is completely degenerate.

Good cheap temporary alternative to getting your car repainted. I wanna have it done once I touch up the rust spots on my car and then I'll experiment with some colors. Later on I'll get it repainted in the color I liked best.
>Do people think it looks cheap or ghetto
who cares what people think, you gotta drive the car, what do you think? It's cheap in price to use and you can have a new color every few years if you want.

maybe if it's a classic car, but If I want to paint my car British racing green, I'm going to paint it British racing green

Easy there grandpa

Okay if it's a shitbox with bad paint, hell it'd probably look a lot better then. Anytime else, it just looks really gaudy

>Dip a car
Why not just wrap a car? It actually protects your paint and when you resell it, it will not depreciate so much. Of course, you only wrap a car if you really like it and costs quite a lot (lets just say above 60 grand).
Example:
>Buy BMW M4
>Don't like the paint but like the interior and options
>Clean car (clay n shit)
>Go have it wrapped in the color you want. Can be metallic blue to glossy pink or whatever the fuck you want
>Now drive in a BMW M4 that you like
Don't dip.

>Implying any car which didn't come with a British racing-like green from the factory as option is worth buying

Wrap is not 60k lol

I kmow a professional installer that can dip a car and make it look just as good if not better than factory paint. He charges premium thoughbut its fucking worth it. Full gloss and everything, can,t tell the difference between the dip and actual pain even if you touched it and were right in front of it.

Dip looks like shit if you rattlecan it on every time. If it's done by a professional it looks pretty good.

It is a good way to protect the paint and help the car hold its value for future sale.
