Guys, I'm having a hell of a time removing dog fur from the back carpeted area of a station wagon I was given.
I tried a rubber removal tool, rubber glove, and a pumice stone. It removed a lot but there is still quite a bit of fur stuck in the carpet. It just won't come loose. You can grab a strand of fur, pull it, and it has almost as much resistance as pulling a hair out of your scalp. Its like it took root or something.
I can remove it from the seats but the carpet is being a pain in the ass. Any detailers here with suggestions?

steam clean it?
the steam should open the pores in the carpet to release hairs
how about the carpet cleaners auto zone sells? that usually foam up and you brush afterwards

>steam clean
That's what I was thinking.
Should I just try a steamer and scrubbing by hand or actually go rent an upholstery steam cleaner?

mayeb you should just pay somebody to do it. i looked up the price of a steam cleaner and they are quite expensive
