Alright /o/. In a few days, I'm going to start the breakdown of a 2V 289 out of a 65 mustang. I've never done any inner engine work before but I'm pretty good with a wrench. Anyone have any tips that would help me?
Also, Engine work/mods general
Don't budget out on parts, keep a manual handy, use proper torque specs and don't try and rush things. Currently rebuilding an SR20.

Thanks anon. I'm gonna snag a Haynes manual in a day or so. Hopefully that will suffice. I need to hit up harbor freight for an in lb torque wrench. I have a ft lb one in my truck already.

One more thing, replace every bolt you can, you'll thank me once you have to take it apart again. Also don't reuse head bolts. Good luck Anon :)

I'm trying to build a 5.3 lm7 for the first time. I have a year or 2 to work on it. Good luck fellow br/o/

Thanks brother. I really am appreciate it. Are there any sort of chemicals I shouldn't use? I planned on using my homemade penetrating fluid and as far as I know, even if it hits any gaskets in the pre-teardown cleaning, I'm swapping all of them anyway
