Hey /o/, so I'm 18 and I'm trying to find a way to make a decent amount of money before I go to college next year. After working retail last year I wanna do something that I really enjoy. Do you think any local garages or dealership would hire me or not? I know a decent amount about cars and I have my own that I have done work to. I have been thinking about flipping salvage title cars after fixing them up, but that seems a bit shitty.

One of the instant oil change places could use a set of cheap hands.

keep working retail and save as much as possible. flipping cars is a waste of time and money, especially if you choose the wrong car or misdiagnose a problem.

This.
Jiffy Lube/Valvoline/SynFast will take anybody who applies and looks like they'll work hard. Don't even need experience, however with some automotive experience they might put you on some of the higher level tech stuff (think transmission and diff services).
Apply for lot porter (lot bitch) at dealerships.
Its entry level
Anyone can do it
And you can work your way up.
I make about 10 an hr and 40 hr weeks with insurance
