Hey /dbt/, first time ever being on this general.

I'm looking into a touring bike, as a bunch of people I know are organizing a cross-North America bike trip.

However, being the black sheep in the group, I do not own a motorcycle yet.

New rider, rode around on my grandpa's CB500 from the early 70's and my brothers 2009 Shadow Aero.

So I'm looking at the Honda CTX 700T, which is the package on the left of the image.

Anyone have any experience with this model?

What is a good dirtbike with good suspension and decent power to learn on for someone my size? I can flat foot on bikes with ~36" seats

You can get a good deal of weight off of them by removing random smog bits and other unnecessary shit. I just listed those because you said you were tall.

XR600R the lightest of the bunch and you can make them even lighter if you want to get rid of all the unnecessary shit on them.
