what went wrong /o/?
will they ever make boats again?
>tfw no amphicar

I fucking hope not. "bust out another thousand" is bad enough. It would be "bust out another ten thousand" on a BMW boatt.

They should
>VANOS
>all plastic lines for cooling/bilge
>trim tabs operated by BMW window regulators
>6 series SMG outdrive
>engine mounted in E36 subframe
Would be the most reliable boat of all time
Apparently they got sold to Mercury.

those shorts.

Boats don't make money like cars do, plus they actually have to be built to last which hurts future sales.

What the fuck is this thing?
Don't forget about Chrysler

as if being stranded on the side of the road wasnt enough

looks like a 3 engine boat with 2 superchargers each. And the number likely indicates peak horsepower, so 3200 HP. the thing likely gets about 5 miles before needing a fillup of race fuel for 15 dollars a gallon.
>>16538122
Not him, but OH SHIT
The first time I glanced at pic I thought each had a roots-type, wasn't until further inspection I saw it was 2 different chargers on each engine. I guess that's done for less heat, more reliability?
>>16538527
I dunno man, boats do weird shit. Water/water intercooling, or even open seawater intercooling is common
>>16538527
>I guess that's done for less heat, more reliability?
Pretty much. Boat engines have to run at full rpm for hours on end. Plus the torque is always useful in a boat.
It's got a 1250 liter fuel tank btw.
