How are the new Volvos in terms of reliability?
Are they prone to break down as often as the other European brand cars?

less reliable than audi, bmw, benz. Volvos were reliable until ~2000-2001
t. owned several Volvos

>less reliable than audi
Ouch

new audis apparently are quite reliable
considering they have a twincharged engine i'm going to assume their reliability is spotty at best
they're being money-hatted by some chinese company but left to do their own thing, and european engineers doing their own thing = shit reliability
How is a brand new car not reliable?

>Friend owns a Volvo mid 2000s wagon
>it's in the shop every other month for random shit
I've owned 6 volvos. (all older than 2001) and I haven't had any big issues, neither has my father with his 2012 XC60. But the new SPA models has had some major ones apparently
Parents owned mostly german cars in the past.
Volvo has most problems so far mostly related to the hybrid system (juddering, randomly going into limp mode, CEL, just refusing to start).
Nice enough car otherwise.
