Oh, was out riding my supermoto around NorCo/Eastvale and ran across these dudes practicing indoor flattrack racing on their Harleys before a race in Minneapolis. Stopped by and talked to them, had some beers, and watched for a while.

They buy gallons of Dr. Pepper syrup and spray it on the concrete to make it more sticky and then slide the bikes in and out of the turns.

So what do you propose? They're the best mountains around and pretty central; while everyone has to ride quite a distance, it's very similar distances for everyone. Anything that doesn't require a lot of riding from someone will leave others with 5000 km to ride.
I'll have to do around 2000 km one way, myself. So fucking what? Take a week off work, take your time getting there by breaking the trip up into like 2 or 3 day trips and use scenc routes instead of the Autobahn, stay a day or two and then head back again.
>>
>>16515922
My first "big" ride that wasnt to work and back or anything was only about 100 miles round trip, but when I got to my friends house afterwards, my ass was so numb that I just laid on his front lawn on my stomach

so my bike that was stolen (i dont have it anymore) apparently had a delinquent parking ticket that i didn't know about

any reason to pay this?
>>
>>16516618
My suggestion would be to buy proper gloves and boots that can also be used for track days if you ever plan on participating. I wasted several hundred dollars on meme alpinestar SMX-1 gloves and boots which not only suck, but they can't even be used for the track because they aren't full gauntlet gloves and they aren't full laced boots
>>
>>16516665
Depends on your local laws. Its different for everyone but all my tickets are due to be paid by the day i register any plate. If i have fines due, i cant register a vehicle and cannot legally drive it.
>>
>>16516706
Doesnt matter to me if they are track approved or not. I wont be going to a track. Nearest one is a 6 hour ride anyway. I need better protection than these thin excuses for gloves and boots im wearing now. Some comfort would be nice too.

>>
>>16516769

>>
>>16515891
My alpinestars go tech gloves also have palm sliders made of that rubbery material. They worked great
>>
>>16516775
The S model has the clamps cast into the top bridge so I don't know that problem but check to see if the bolts are bent
>>
>>16516665
Well, you could leverage it for copbait, but since your plates are already registered as stolen, it would be redundant.
I guess it comes down to whether the infringement that led to the fine was dated before or after your reported the bike stolen.

Your commute isn't a law of the universe. One day, you'll have to take an alternate route or change your destination.

Buying exactly what you need for your current sitaution is a good way to set yourself up to buy something else later.

Learn to post photographs of parts when you have questions. "carb heater connectors" has no specific meaning. Most connectors have one or two small latches you disengage to separate them. I often flip them open with a 90-degree scriber tip or similar.
>>
>>16517880
Mine are fucking coolant tubes. I think most are, so you drain the coolant and then take them off like regular hoses.

Carb cleaner only works on light crud. I soak overnight at least in a tub of straight Pine-Sol, agitating now and then with a brush. I've used all the commercial carb cleaners and won't bother again. Pine-Sol doesn't hurt plastic BTW.

Worked my ass off mowing lawns and doing random work for parts for it.
Made enough for all the black plastics and enough to powdercoat the frame
While the engine was out had my grandpa help me rebuild with high comp piston and a port job.
Raced it like crazy at the local tracks. My grandpa had to hold me up on the start gate.

Past summer. Anytime I was riding on a nice winding road with the sun on my back and great tunes jamming in my earplugs.

Few more months guys...

probably this trip.

It was only meant to be a quick run through nasho, but I said we couldn't just do nasho and that's it, so I said we need to go to mac pass and that it was "only 20 minutes away" (I forgot it was more like an hour and a bit away) and we ended out riding all day exploring roads around the area and finding scenc.

good times.

What do you guys think of these in term of protection ? They're certainly not boots but are they worth it ? I'm going to ride a 125cc soon, I'm a beginner needing some advice.

Thanks.

Does it have steel toe and ankle support?
If not. Who makes something like that??
>>
>>16519179

No steel toe ans ankle support. The ankle is still covered though, bu buy leather. It's waterproof too. These are Alpinestars J-6.

will do literally nothing, do not bother.

No steel or ankle support, the ankle is still covered by leather though. It's waterproof. It's an Alpinestars J-6 model.

Sorry for mistyping mistakes.

They're just regular shoes with an alpinestars logo. If you want to ride in regular shoes that's fine but it's probably not wise to spend a fuckload extra for "motorcycle shoes" that aren't going to protect you any better.
