/o/ am I getting fucked sidways by my insurance company?
Other day I called to change my insurance to 100/300/100 because my new job demanded it. I was already paying 190~ per month and they quote said it would go up to 260~ which I was fine with but now it's 300. What the fuck is happening
Forgot to mention I have 0 crashes on my record, no DUIs or any of that shit. Clean
That does seem a little high. I pay $168.88 for 100/300/100, but that's for 6 months.
looks high but it will be hard to say anything without
-age
-location/city
-what you're driving

Stats? City/age/vehicle etc? That's what I was paying a few years ago until my coverage jumped to 190~

Biggest problem is going to be the city. It's just higher no matter what. You should try different companies.
I'm 26 in a medium sized city in the midwest, no accidents/history with a 2003 S2000 and I pay $50 a month with Geico, full coverage. I looked up a 2010 CRV for fun and they quoted me $12.50 a month

If you moved to a slum area with a new chebby cruze, then your rate can move from $89/month to $148/month like in my area. My rate isn't like yours, but I didn't know my area had crime rates like that until it was too late to change decisions.
If where you live has a lot of people who make claims, then of course your rates will go up. Rates also change with credit rating. If you get a lien, then your rates will go up since the reliability of a person personality is also statistically affected by whether or not they get liens against them.
