ericthecarguy does it in his latest video removing a bolt from a socket if you need proof of it working.

Long beefy screwdriver in end through socket side.
Get caveman on its ass.

Throw at ground until it pops out.

Put the nut back, hit socket on the side lightly with a hammer

Repeat with more force until it works

Just torque it the opposite way and it should come out
