Hey /o/. I know absolutely nothing about cars but next year I'm gonna have to commute 120 miles a day. What the fuck do I do?
More specifically, what cheap normie car can I get that won't fuck up? Preferably something with good gas mileage.

Toyota Prius. It's a meme car but it's dead reliable and it'll get you the fuel economy that you really need.

Move. It'd be retarded to have a commute that long.

Get something common so repairs are cheap.

>120 miles
Do you want to do that in 1 hour or 2?
>>16509464
sorry op. you can only go 6 miles.
>>16509495
Yeah I was honestly thinking that.

Not doable. I'm trying to save on board at college by driving. It's an extra 13k a year on the tuition that I'm not willing to pay.

By common you mean like a Honda Civic or what?

You really consider 500+ hours of your life to be worth less than a few thousand dollars?

just get a loan for it. c'mon man it's 2017. you're not getting the full college experience if you don't graduate with crippling debt. post your local craigslist.

Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, etc.
That guy had a good thought with the Prius, it fits the good economy, reliability and common categories, just research about the batteries, because they do have a certain lifespan.
Most importantly do research about what ever you buy so you know common problems, etc, so you are prepared for them/their cost. Look up recalls & things in that nature.

Also, always remember maintenance. A $20 regular oil change is always a better value than a $2000 engine.
Proper, regular maintenance will reduce running costs in the long run and decide if your car will run 100,000 or 1,000,000 miles.
