what was wrong with it?

as far as Ive seen, the panther is bulletproof even if you abuse it. It lasted as a cop car for close to 20 years for a reason

what about it?

I made the thing because it always bugged me the way the taillights for the Grand Marq and Town Car changed from their established pattern for the third gen.

the Town car got the same taillights as the second gen Crown Vic, while the Grand marquis got the taillight style the Town Car used to have, abandoning it's own style.

the Crown vic itself had a fairly erratic taillight continuity.

it started out with this, which is not entirely different from the way the town car has it's light set up. the smaller bar with the larger lights at each end, but styled differently, the town car had squared lights at each end.

the 1993 facelift actually gave the Crown Vic a very similar taillight configuration to the second Gen Grand Marquis- sort of a single taillight, broken up by the license plate.

then for the second Gen they gave it the taillights it kept till the end, which it shared with the Town car.

TL;DR the pic was a shoop to show the way the Grand Marq and Town Car's taillight configurations SHOULD have evolved for their third gen makeovers, instead of what happened
