Yes it's a 5.0. I had a 4.0 V6 explore before. That one also got shit mileage and didnt have the power this one does.

It's dirty because this is my work vehicle. I also own a honda that I make an effort to keep clean.

I got a whole V10 parts truck for $1900. I do want to buy a spare long block to adapt some Viper heads to but that's a project for another day, for now I have 450 ft/lb V10 and a 5-speed trans in my RCSB truck and I'm perfectly happy with it. I upgraded from a 5.2 V8.

Also redline really doesn't matter for a truck, it makes peak torque at 2400 which is the important metric

It's plenty fun, trust me. I just need to get rid of the factory axle blocks in the rear because the axle wrap is real. Softer springs would be nice too but I don't want to lose towing ability for comfort since this is first and foremost a tow pig

Did you reset it then idle for a while before taking the picture? Nothing gets that bad of mileage, not even loaded transport trucks. Unless this is a farm truck or something that idles 95% of the time and tows shit.
